4 Generations!

The last couple of days my Grandma Carol and Uncle Ron have been in town from California! It has been the great having them here to visit! Grandma Carol and Uncle Ron got to meet Skyler for the first time. They have seen tons of pictures of him, thanks to Aunt Nicki but it was great for them to actual meet him! It had been great because my mom has had family dinner every night that they have been in town! MMM, yummy food! They left last night and it's to bad that they live so far away that we cant see them more, because they are such great company to be around! Love you guys and hope to see you soon!!

Skyler got his tubes

This morning Skyler went in for his surgery to get the tubes put in his ears. We took him to the ear specialist on Thursday and they did say that he has fluid behind both of his ears, which is causing pressure on his ear drums so he can't hear. They also did a test to see if it was permanent damage on his hearing and there is not. They scheduled his surgery for 7:30 am on Monday but we had to be there at 6am. I was kind of worried about how early we had to wake him and then how long we had to wait until the surgery was because we could not feed him anything after midnight. When we got there Skyler was really excited for some strange reason, It was like he knew what was going on. But, he did so good threw out the whole thing. Before they started getting his vitals, weight ect, they gave him this stuff called "happy juice." It makes it to where Skyler didn't care that he was getting poked at. He was really funny on it because he would just sit and smile holding a box of crayons the nurses gave him, almost like he was very high! The surgery only lasted about 15 mins, they said the hardest part of babies come of of surgery is the anastasia. But the nurses said that Skyler was one of the best babies they have seen coming out of it. He hardly cried!

On our way home we stopped and got Skyler some pan-a-cakes, He loves them and was hungry!! It's kind of cute because I think that he likes this new hearing thing because he walked around the house after we got home, making all the noises/grunts he normally makes so he could hear them. Lil Munch, we are so proud of you and can't wait for you to start talking up a storm!! xo

Summer BBQ's

This is my favorite part about summer is the BBQ'S, all the yummy food and company! Last weekend Pam and John invited us over for a BBQ and we got to hang out with Aj, Brittany, Jameson, Keith, Mel and their new baby Austin! It was a lot of fun! Skyler had so much fun just running all over the yard, chasing after his ball! This weekend we went to a beer tasting party/BBQ. Jerry and Mer sure know how to threw a Party!

Yes, my son has some weird thing with the dog's cages. He will open them, get inside and sit! Now he has started to open and close the door while inside and taking his toys in the cage with him! I guess he thinks the dogs have fun doing it, he should enjoy it too! What a crazy lil boy!

Jamaica!!!

We left on Thursday to go to Jamaica for our really good friends wedding! It was the best trip ever! Except for that we almost missed our connecting flight in Dallas, but our baggage for sure missed it! It got to us the next day! Oh, well what can you do?? (when you are pissed that you don't have luggage and you have a free bar...hmmm) But, it was a great trip. Drew and I got to relax by the pool, play on the beach, get massages, and even went shopping one of the days. It was a great trip but we also missed being home. Grandma Crazy took care of Skyler, and it was said when I did call and he heard my voice all he did was cry. So, I know he missed us and we missed him!! And uncle Darin took care of Allie and Gator, from what I understand they give him a run for his money!! Sorry Darin!! But thank you to everyone that helped us out so we could go on our trip!

8 years!

Today, Drew and I have been together 8 years! And, I know once you get married you forget about the dating years, but too me, 8 years is a long time to be with that same person every single day, but I would not trade the past 8 years for anything! We have a some great times and some not so great times, but I think that is what has made us so strong! He is my best friend! I love you Drewsie Poo and look forward to 50 million more years together! (ps: the picture was taken almost 8 years ago, it was right after we started dating and Drew and I went on our first camping trip together... That was a fun trip!)

Skyler's 15 month check-up

Today, We took Skyler in for his 15 month check up! He weights 23 pounds and is 32 inches long. He is in the 25th % for weight and 75th % for height. Dr Bean said he was run/walk alot, because he is long and skinny! We also talked to her about Skyler's ears and seizures. She asked how Skyler's speech development is doing, is he saying momma, dada, hi, bye. And he is not. All he does is grunt and say mmmmm. She said because of all of his ear infections, his fever seizure (caused by ear infections) and his speech development that it's time for tubes! So, she made us an appointment with a specialist on August 21st. Skyler has 3 teeth coming in and his molars are starting to bump out.

I love Skyler's Dr because I asked her about him being lactose intolerant and if we should just try milk or cheese with him to see if he can have it, but she did not want us to try because it would put us threw hell while he deals with the pain of it, but she gave us a name of an allergist that we could take him too to get tested. Which makes me feel alot better, instead of some weird form of torching my son.

Skyler got 3 shots today and cried threw out the whole thing. He is starting to know what the Dr's office is and that he gets shots there because today all he wanted to do was get out the door. He would keep trying to open the door or go stand by it while Dr. Bean was talking.. What a turkey. But, Dr. Bean said that Skyler is a healthy happy boy and once we get the ear thing solved we will be golden!

Last night started out like any other night getting Skyler ready for bed. But then it turned sour really quick. Yesterday, he had been running on the warm side all day. I thought it was because he has 3 teeth coming in, so I keep him on the Tylenol. Well, last night we where getting Skyler ready for bed, Drew and I thought he felt REALLY warm, and his fever spiked really fast. We gave him Tylenol and a wet cloth for his head and hoped that his temp would go down. It was 103.6. As he sat/laid across my lap he just looked so lifeless, Drew tried to talk to him, get him to follow his finger something, but nothing. He was very unresponsive. He picked Skyler up and took him over to the fan thinking that would make him respond, but then it happened, He started to turn blue and go really stiff, he was starting a seizure. We laid him on the floor on his side and Drew called 911 and all we could do is sit and wait for him to come out of it. The paramedics came and said yes, it was another fever seizure just like he had in May. His levels where fine, sugars, ect. But they still wanted to get him checked out. So, off to the hospital we went...

After about 3 hours of waiting, the Dr. came in and said what called the fever was his double ear infection. I thought the fever was caused by his teeth coming in but I guess fever don't get above 100 degrees with teeth. Skyler, did not act like anything was wrong with his ears at all, so I would have NEVER would have guessed it was his ears. The Dr said to follow up with his normal Dr and ask them to do a full work up on him because since this is his second one, that it lowers the threshold to where he could have seizures all of his life even if they are not fever related. Skyler goes in on Thursday. I'm also going to ask her if we should put tubes in his ears because the last time this happened was because of an ear infection...

All in all, I'm glad that he is doing better today. He would not laugh, smile or want to move at all this morning, but Grandma and Grandpa crazy came out to see him today and he is doing better. It was the scariest moments in my life to watch my son go threw that and not being able to help him. But, I'm going to do everything I can so he does not have to go threw that again. We love Skyler and thanks for being so TUFF!!

Last night we went to Kenny Chesney!! I honestly think it was the best Kenny concert that I have been too EVER!!! It was held at the Rio Tinto, best out door concert! There where so many people there it was crazy! The concert started at 5:30 and did not end until 11. I think that best of the concert was then end when he rocked out too 5 - non- Kenny songs!! It was super hot and I turned into a sweat ball, but it was still worth it.

I have my juice box, I'm ready to roll!

Yup! I have 100% all boy on my hands. So, this weekend Drew bought a pool for are back yard, (which we are in the process of fixing up) But he thought it would be great for the family and nice for the hot days that we have had lately. So, tonight he was putting the finishing touches on it and Skyler had to help. He did not care if he got dirty or that he did not have shoes on. He was out side with his daddy! He sat and played in the rocks, one time he tried to eat the rocks, he played in the dirt, he played in the pool as it was filling up and even had time to stop and give one of his puppy loves! He had dirt all over him, but he did not even care! He loved it!

My HGC Diet

Ok, so I don't know if alot of you know, but I went on the HGC Diet. I started it May 31st and yesterday was the first day that I could eat some what normal!( oils, dairy, nuts, all meat, veggies and fruits back into my diet) I'm a VERY picky eater and on this diet you could only eat certain foods, and it was very hard for me but I did it. It was the longest 45 days of my life, But I'm 31 pounds lighter!! It was great because I got to go buy new clothes and put my bigger clothes away!! YiPpY!! I still have 3 weeks left but this is my maintenance part of my diet. Still no sugars or carbs. I'm very happy with my results and I'm thankful that I had my Drew there to support me the whole time, even thought I was not the nicest person on the diet! But we will be going to Jamaica really soon and that is going to be my celebration!!

Today felt like the perfect day to play outside! Drew got Skyler's pool all set up and I sat outside with him and played in the pool! Now, of course he is used to grandpa and grandma Modahl's pool, so this was just a puddle for him.. but he still enjoyed it anyways!

We got Skyler this 4-wheeler for his birthday and he as been scared of it, but today he was having a great time with it. I fill up his little compartment with gold fish and he went to town on it. I had alot of fun outside playing with Skyler today! He was throwing is balls, found rocks to throw even played with the dogs! We finished up the afternoon with an otter pop!!

So, Drew and I have NEVER, EVER taken a day off to just goof off! We had some PTO time schedule so we could go to Bear Lake but our plans fell threw! So, Drew decided that he was just going to go to work, Because he is a workaholic. But I asked him if he could just take Friday off so we could have a day together and he did!! It was so much fun! I painted my bathroom Thursday while I was off, so Friday morning we finished putting everything back together. Cliff and Daylane came and got Skyler for the day, so we had the full day to ourselves! We went to a movie in the morning. We saw The Proposal. What a cute movie! After that we went to the new water park in draper. Cawabunga bay! It was a lot of fun! I wish I had Skyler there because he would have LOVED it! After that we went to dinner and home to get Skyler! It was so much fun to spend time with Drew and not have to worry about anything! What a great holiday we had! Drew, Darin, Aj and Taylor got to ride their 4-wheelers in the West Jordan parade. So, us wifes went to watched them! It was Skyler's first parade and he loved it! Every float that would come by that had girls on it he would get so excited and just start waving! What a stud! They boys has so much fun that I think that this is going to be a annual thing! but, I'm not complaining, I had a lot of fun!

Allie update!

Our Lil Allie! Only 3 weeks old!

Allie's leg has seemed at times like it was getting better but then on Sunday she started panting really bad. I called the vet that she had been going to for years and they said it's normal not to worry. So, last night I was sitting on the couch and she was breathing, really short-hard breaths. So, I called the vet and they said, "Well, we don't know what is wrong, if you are worried then you can bring her in." It really bothered me just how they acted like nothing was wrong and not their concern. So, I texted my friend, Jessica and asked her what is a good night time vet and she told me to take her to Cottonwood animal hospital. I called them and told them what had been going on and they said "If her leg has not gotten better with in 2 days being on the steroids then there is something that is being missed and she needs to be seen."

So, Drew took her to the vet at 9:30 last night while I stayed home with Skyler and Gator. They ran some blood test, some pain test, and a joint test. They wanted the back surgeon to look at her in the morning because she does have deep pain in her back and they wanted to keep her over night so he can look at her first thing in the morning. So, last night she had a vacation from the family. :(

This morning the surgeon called me and said they need to do an MRI on her but they could not fit her in until 6pm tonight and they would call me when they are done. So, we waited, and waited and they finally called; Dr. Law said that it's either 1 of 2 things- A piece of cartilage came off some where and is blocking blood flow in her spine, the part that controls the left leg. He said that it's like a stroke. Her leg will get better over time but never be 100%. Or option 2, is that 2 of her disks in her spine look weak and would need to be replaced or repaired and that would cause for surgery. But he wants to have the radiologist take a look at the MRI for sure before we know what needs to happen. So, poor lil Allie is away from home again until we find out what needs to happen!

It was a really emotional day for both Drew and I! It's sad because I know to some people say it's a dog. But I'm sorry, this dog, is our baby- She has been apart of our lives for almost 5 years now and we have taken care of her, loved her, played with her. She has been the best dog and is such a big part of our family and we hope that she gets better soon! Gator, I think is at a lost too with our her here, he just walks around the house looking for her hoping she will turn up! It's kind of sad! We love you Allie and are pulling for you!! xoxo

Wednesday was my 27th birthday! Too me, I think it was the best birthday I have ever had! I got to go to lunch with one of my really good friends Jessica and her son Cooper! It was so good to see her and catch up! Both Drew and I took a half day and went to go see Transformers 2! I loved it! I thought it was better then the first one. It was really cute because Drew keep surprising me with a gifts threw out the day! The one I got at the movie was a gift card to Old Navy!

Then, we went to my mom's for dinner. When I got to my mom's I opened the door and saw Skyler holding the cutest sign ever and smiling so big! It made my day! Drew and Skyler then surprised me with concert tickets to Kenny Chesney in July!! So, pumped!! Skyler helped Grandma make a cake and he had icing everywhere! But he did a great job! My mom and dad got me an awesome vacuum that I'm really excited about using, it will be perfect for the trailer too! Also, thanks sis for the great gifts too! xoxo

Before we left my mom's, Drew said that I had one more gift and I don't get it until Thursday.. I got home Thursday night and he blind-folded me and put me in the car and drove. I was so turned around. We finally got to our destination and he had me get out of the car, still blind-folded walked me into a place and had me open my eyes... As you can see, I got a tattoo- I had always wanted to get 4 stars on my foot but was always scared and never followed threw with it! Well, Drew made me this time! Babe, thank you so much for making my birthday so special and going out of your way to surprise me! You are the best and I could not ask for a better husband! xoxo

My birthday was great, but it could not be all glam, when we got home from my mom's on Wednesday, Darin had noticed that there was something wrong with Allie. We had to take Allie into the emergency vet! Her left leg is dead. It just gets dragged behind her as she walks. She can't go up or down stairs, get up on the couch or the bed! The vet said that she has a slipped disk in her lower back that has made her left leg nerve go numb. It will heel itself but we just have to wait. But the vet did say that it will take her about a month to get back to normal! Drew and I are pretty upset because she is our first baby and it's hard for her to struggle threw something like this and get so discourage with herself. It's really sad when the left leg, that she can't feel trips her back right leg and she falls over! But, she is still a trouper and still keeps trying!

Dad- I think that you are the most AWESOME dad that I could ever ask for! We have so much fun together. You play ball with me. You give me tickles that make me laugh so hard that I wet my diaper. You play in the sand with me out at the dunes. When you pick me up from grandma's house you talk to me all the way home. You always tuck me into bed at night because you know that you wont see me in the morning. You comfort me when I'm sad or hurt. You entertain me the best way you know how, but best of all you help mommy out with me when she is ready to call it quits!! You are the best dad that anyone could ask for! HAPPY FATHER'S DAY-

Fun, Fun things we have been up too!

Skyler & Allie finally have made a connection. Normally, Allie wants nothing to do with Skyler, but ever since Allie found out that Skyler LOVES kisses, they are best friends! It's about time Allie got off her pitty-party!

The rain did not keep us away! Yesterday we went to the Air show up at hill air force base. Our friends, Brittany, Aj and Jameson came with us. We got up there about 10-ish and it was raining so hard, but we thought, we have blankets, umbrellas, coats and stroller covers that we will be set! Ha, we where wrong. Brittany, myself and the babies lasted for like 10 mins and we where done. So, we went back to the truck and waited for the boys to go look at planes. Jameson and Skyler had so much fun pretending to drive. About 45 mins later the rain let up and the boys came back. Hill air force base was still going to do the air show!! The sun came out it was not to hot.. it was perfect!! We also had our friends Bj, Jessica and Ty met us up there. They where lucky and missed the rain!

Skyler was really excited at first and loved the first plane that went (which was my favorite) The he got really pissed at the noise and went to sleep. What a party pooper... He missed the whole air show! I'm really surprised that Skyler did not wake up because some of the planes that came by where really loud.

A friend of mine got this for her little girl and I keep my eye out for one for Skyler! It's a bag of balls!! 100 to be exact! I got a baby pool and put all the balls in and let him go to town! He gets so excited and just pushes them around everywhere when he is in the pool. My favorite part is when he gets out and then tries to get back in and face plants into the balls- Does that make me a bad mom for laughing?? If it does oh well, It's freaking hilarious!

Memorial Day Weekend!

This weekend we went out to the dunes! Yes, of course we did! The whole family went out together. Me, Drew, Skyler and BOTH dogs! Man, was it a hand full but it was fun! Skyler decided that he wanted to get another ear infection before we where ready too leave! So, we also got to deal with that! Skyler handles the ear infections pretty good so that is why we still went out this weekend. Thank goodness for Tylenol and ear drops! But, if anyone was the baby this weekend it was me.. I got bit by a red ant the first day out there then a sun burn on the second day and the third day I just go sick! (maybe I should have stayed home) All in all it was a fun and relaxing trip. We love all of our dunes memories!

They are doing construction on my mom's street and Skyler is in heaven!! He watches all the tractors and the trucks move all the dirt. The other day they where outside watching the tractors and trucks and my sister took some pictures and I had to share them because I think they are so freaking cute! Really shows me how much fun they have with Skyler.

Brittany and Aj needed a baby sitter and asked Drew and I if we would do it! And of course I jumped at the chance to do it! Plus, I kind of owe them for how much they watched Skyler when he was first born! But, we where so excited for Jameson to come over and play with Skyler.

They had so much fun together. Skyler loved to stick his finger in Jameson mouth. Ya, I know.. Silly boy! Skyler showed Jameson his favorite movie, CARS! I think it was a little to advance for him because he got board and feel asleep! But, my favorite part of the whole night was putting them in the bath together! Skyler did not know what to think, but once he figure it that his friend was in here, he was showing him all of his cool toys!

I will admit one thing, having Skyler at a year old then having Jameson whom is almost 4 months old made me really think how I'm so not ready for 2 kids!!! I think when ever I get baby hungry, it's time for Jameson to come over and play again!! But, we sure did enjoy having Jameson come over and play!! Thanks Brittany and Aj for letting Jameson come and play!

Mother's Day

Happy Mommy's Day to Me! I love being a mom! I absolutely love it! I know some times it's trying and keeps me busy but it is all worth it. You get to watch something you made, grow up and develop into a big boy! Right now, I'm really enjoying the feeling of being a mom because Skyler is discovering and learning so much right now.

My Mother's day started off with Drew letting me sleep in and he took care of Skyler when he woke up. All the kids (Allie and Gator included) bought me a Azalea plant. It's really pretty and unique.We got to spend time with my mom, Drew's mom and Daylane. It was really great to see them on Mother's day (with exceptions of Daylane but Saturday counts) They are all special to us in so many different ways and do so much for us! We are thankful to have them in our lives. We love you guys!

Skyler still was not feeling the greatest because of his previous incident, which turned into a double ear infection :( So, we did not get to do to much. but relax. Which was needed! Drew and Skyler did take me out to dinner at my favorite place, Tenpenki! (I know I spelt it wrong) All in all it was a great Mother's day and I'm so thankful that I have such a great Lil boy that I love so much!

What a Day!

Today, I have marked as the scariest day being a mom/dad/parent/grandparent! It all started at 3am this morning. Drew and I get woken with this blood curdling scream from Skyler's room. We go in there and he is burning up. So, Drew and I knew just how to handle because we have been threw this a couple times, Tylenol, bottle, rock back to sleep! So we thought. His temp did not go down so, we undressed him into his diaper and place a cool rag over his head and he went and snuggled into bed with us. About 5am we wake again with blood curdling screaming. He is still SO warm. We gave him some moltin (because some times Tylenol does not help his fevers). And he feel asleep. I woke up started getting ready for work and Cliff and Daylane had come to get Skyler. And I told them that he had a ruff night, no more fever it was down to 98.7 but he still was not acting like himself. They said don't worry we have it cover.

About 9am I texted Daylane to see how lil man was and she said that he was doing GREAT! He was eating, laughing, playing in the garage with grandpa. So, I thought all was good that he is feel better. HA!! I get this phone call from Drew about 12:30 saying "You need to meet me half way from my work to your work." "why" I asked. Daylane just called me and told me that Skyler had a seizure and they are putting him the ambulance and taking him to McKay-Dee hospital in Ogden! I was so confused and lost that I hung up on Drew before I could think of where to meet him, is Skyler ok, What happened, anything- After I figured out what had just happened I called Drew back and he said he was coming to get me because he did not want me to drive. While I was waiting for Drew to get there I called Daylane and found out what happened. Skyler, went down for a nap and had woke up all red faced and red eared, they gave him some moltin and started to feed him lunch and that's when it happened. He went into a seizure. He stayed in the seizure for about 3 min's. They called 911 right away. The paramedic's showed up got him stabled and took him to the hospital. Cliff went with Skyler in the ambulance and Caysie and Daylane followed behind them.

Drew finally got to my work (which seemed like hours but it was really only like 10 mins) and off we went. As I got into the car with Drew and I saw the scared look on his face and him trying to hold back the tears I lost it. I could just picture Skyler sitting there so scared and just wanting his mommy! I think the drive to Ogden, Drew and I did it in record time. We got to the hospital and Skyler was sleeping. They where just getting ready to do some test on him to figure out why he had such a high fever (102.0) because he did not have any ear infections, cough, or sore throat so they need to figure out where the fever was coming from! They did chest x-rays, took blood, a pee sample and a snot sample.

Well, all of his tests came back fine. Ok, so why did he have the seizure??? The DR explained to us Skyler was starting to get a common virus or cold and that is what spiked his fever which made him have a seizure. It's called Febrile Seizures. From what I'm told by the DR it's very common and happen to 6 out of every 25 kids. (It must not be that common because I have never heard of this before!! ) The DR said that he will grow out of it by the age of 8 when his body can fight of the fever, but it's very possible that it will happen again!! So, knowing the Skyler is safe we got discharged and got to come home.

Skyler is doing better tonight. Still has a fever and is very tired. Drew and I are now going to be on alert 100% of the time when ever he seems to be getting a cold or a fever. Because I know that I don't want to go threw that ever again! I do want to thank Cliff, Daylane and Caysie for being so strong and taking such good care of Skyler until we got to him! We love you guys!!! Also, thank you to everyone everyone else that worried and showed support to us and caring for our lil dude!

Today was a big step for my lil man! We have been working with him to walk since Sunday and today at grandma crazy's house he took flight! He gets the biggest grin on his face as he is walking. He still finds it easier to crawl but I'm sure it will get better over time! Congrats Skyler on becoming a big boy! Mom and dad are so proud of you!

What cute lil kids! This weekend Drew and I went out to the dunes! Since we got our new trailer we want to be out there as much as we can! My mom offered to take Skyler for us so we could introduce Allie and Gator to the trailer and the dunes. They have never been out there before so I was really worried about how they would be. But they did FREAKING AWESOME! I was so impressed with them! They had so much fun! Allie is a little scared of the 4- wheelers but Gator acted like he ran the show and was always over hanging with the boys! Except that he did get bit by a red ant! :( poor Gator! Thanks for being such great kids Allie and Gator!! Next time- all 3 kids!

Drew and I had alot of fun this weekend. I got some really good riding time in this time and I'm starting to feel a little bit more comfortable with riding! That makes Drew happy!! On Friday, Drew and I took Skyler to go see Dr. Bean for Skyler's 1 year check up! I love Dr. Bean! She makes you feel like your kid is the only kid that she sees. She remembers what you talked about last time (even thought i know, she keeps it in her computer, it still makes you feel special.) She ew's and awh's over how cute your child is! She is just great! But, Skyler weighs 22 pound and is in the 25% of weight. His height is at 30 inches and is in 75% for height. She told me that we need to start getting him away from baby food and feeding him like a big boy! Which means no more bottles and formula! YA, US! No more formula! but he still can't drink cows milk it's all about the soy, so it will save us a little bit of money! Ü But she said that he is on track for his development and is just perfect! I would have to agree!

For Skyler's 1st birthday he had a very busy day! I took him to go get his birthday pictures and he experienced his first mall pretzel! He loved it! After that we headed over to the Crazy's. Aunt Nicki got Skyler a cars balloon which he just loved. For lunch we went down to Drew's work and they ordered Cafe Rio for everyone and celebrated Skyler's Birthday. He loved hanging out in the pound (that's the work shop). After lunch, Skyler was really tired but his day was not over yet... We meet up with Aj, Brittany and Jameson for a trip to the zoo! Skyler was so tired that for the first 30 mins there he was a sleep. He loved the elephants but hated the monkeys and giraffes. They scared him. He really liked it when we held his hand and walked with him. We got a drink and realized that Skyler now knows how to drink out of straw! Boy is he growing up!

Me.. One year ago today! Boy, was I yellow!

Wow! Today I turned 1. You know they say the first year is the hardest year and boy where they wrong! I have figured it all out. When I cry, I get a bottle/food, my bum changed, my binky or loves. I get carried almost every where I go. I never have to worry about bathing myself and best of all I get to play on the floor with all these super cool toys and don’t have to worry about cleaning up my mess! Man, do I have it made!

I have learned a lot in the last 3 months. I’ve got this crawling thing down pack. I like to run away from mom and dad when they are chasing me. It’s a very fun game. I’m trying to walk but I can’t. I get scared when ever I let go of what ever is helping me walk. One time I did it and I hurt my head. I have discovered BIG people food and boy do I love it! Good bye Gerber hello hot dogs!

One of my favorite pass times is watching the movie CARS! It keeps me so entertained. I watch it every day! Mom says that she “loves” that movie too. Another favorite pass times is playing with my dogs. They really don’t play back unless we are playing the jumping off the bed / couch / stairs game. I push them off and they get right back on and we start all over again! I laugh every time. Over Easter, my mom and dad took me to this place with a lot of sand. I guess it’s called the sand dunes. I got to ride on a 4-wheeler with my dad and I smiled the whole time. I think I’m going to like it there if we ever go back. The sand tastes really good too!

So, this past week has not been the greatest!! On Wednesday night we found out that are heater broke and we need a new one! After all it is 26 years old. (it's the original one that they build in the house) So, we are at least lucky that it's lasted this long. We have called around and got quotes and the cheapest that we have found after all the rebates and tax credits that we get is still $1500! Then this morning Darin went to start his laundry and found out that our dryer is broken too!! Which makes me very angry because it's only 3 years old! I thought Maytag was supposed to be a great dryer!! But I have decide all those stupid extend warranties they offer when you buy things, that you think "I will never need them." I have changed my mind, and I'm going to buy them even if I dont think I need them just to have that extra coverage because it sucks when expensive things break all at once! So, it's been a VERY stressful and expensive week at our house!! Lucky us! - anyone want to help donate? Ü

Easter at the Dunes!

So, this weekend we took off to the dunes! Easter weekend is always that start of the season for us duner! And it normally ends about UEA weekend. We left Wednesday night and came home this afternoon! We had such a great time with all of our dun-in family! The weather was really nice all weekend except for the last day that we where there. But even at the dunes the weather is never a downer because there is always something to do!! This was Skyler's second time out to the dunes. We took him last year but he was only 5 weeks old. So this year was so exciting for us to see how he did and he did great!! He loved watching all the 4-wheelers and dirt bikes, but he loved playing in the sand the most! I had to watch him very carefully because he liked to eat the sand!! We took him on his first 4-wheeler around camp and he just thought it was the greatest thing ever!

Cousin Maddox's 1st Birthday

My Cousin that I grew up with, Marti had her little boy, Maddox 1 month and 8 days before we had Skyler! Well, he turned 1 yesterday! It was the cutest little birthday party. She had it all decorated in turtle themed. It so so much fun to watch our boys play together. Maddox got out a ball and Skyler and him where playing ball together. It was funny because it was little the baby Derby who got to the ball the fastest as they threw it. When we first got there Skyler found a girl friend.. She was about 3 months older then him, but he keep going up and petting her face and laughing. Boy, am I in trouble if he is already after the ladies! Happy birthday Maddox! Drew was putting Skyler's car seat back together the other night after I got done washing it because he threw up all over it. Skyler was very helpful in cleaning up his miss and helping his daddy! I love my men! Ü

So, last night started out just a normal night! We got home from work and we feed Skyler dinner and went to the store because we need food in our house. Well, after we got home, we did our normal schedule to get Skyler ready for bed, Bath, Bottle, Bed.. at least we thought, about 3 mins after we put him to bed he started screaming like mad crazy!!! I went in there and he had throw up EVERY WHERE!! I yelled for Drew to come help me because it was just not stopped! We ran him to the tub un-dressed him and hosed him down. I proceeded to get him ready for bed again,I got him all dressed and up came some more! Back to the bath we went. Drew called the Dr.'s office to see what could be going on and the Dr said that it's either the stomach flu or that he is allergic to what we feed him for dinner. (When Skyler was a lil baby we tried to give him milk based formula and threw up every where, well the Dr said that he could be allergic to any dairy products so we did soy formula from then on out.) Well, we gave him the Gerber, Mac and Cheese for dinner not thinking that that he would be allergic to it because it was baby food. Boy, where we wrong. Well, we could not get him to stop throwing up and scream so the Dr told us to take Skyler in to Primary Children's last night. On the way up there Skyler threw up again all over himself and his car seat. We got there about 11 pm, waited for about an hour in the waiting room, asked them how much longer and they said about 2 more hours just to be seen!!! I called the on call Dr. back and told them what was going on and how long we would have to wait and he asked if Skyler was still throwing up and I said no, and some more questions. He said that we where OK to go home and just to watch him close and not to give him any dairy products any more. Skyler sleep threw the night just fine, me on the other hand was up every hour to check on him. He is still not eating very well today, but we are making sure that he is staying hydrated! He loves pedilite pops! So, it looks like Mac and cheese 1- Skyler- 0!

It's been a really busy week and I have not been able to post this cute story but I had too because I thought it was so cute.
So, On Sunday I still was not feeling very good because of my root canal that I had so I decided I was going to take a nap and Skyler was going to join me. We slept about 2 hours together then Skyler started moving around and decide it was time for him to get up. I felt him set himself up and I looked at him and he still had his binky in his mouth just looking around and doing his normal grunts, so I closed my eyes because he was OK, then I felt something pushing up against my lips.. It was his binky! Skyler decided because I was still sleeping that he wanted to share his binky with him mom. At least that is what I think..

As my last post told you... Skyler's not a baby anymore. Today he was in on the living room floor playing with his truck and he decided to pull himself up and started to walk, and did a great job except when he hit the walls! What a great Valentines day gift! You could tell that he was so proud of himself!

Today was Skyler's 9 month check up! I was unable to take him because I had some issue with my root canal I had earlier that day so Drew came to the rescue and took him in for me. Dr. Bean said that he is perfect! He weights 21 pounds and is 50% in weight and height and 79% with his head! She also, told us that we need to start getting him used to big people food. The other night I gave Skyler a bit of my mac and cheese and he broke out, Dr. Bean said that he is more then likely he is still allergic to dairy like he was when he was a baby and not to give him any dairy products just yet. Skyler also has out grown his car seat and time to get him new one! Which I was shocked about because I thought you could not put them in one until they are at least a year, but I guess it has to do where his shoulder straps go in there baby car seat and if they met the height and weight criteria they can. My Lil baby is not a baby any more! I feel like he has grown over night, he loves to crawl and get into everything he can, plus he sprouted another tooth and one more on the way. OH, and he said his first word - "DAD" how convenient! Drew came home from work and Skyler was playing in his walker and saw his dad and yelled "DAD". Us, moms get screwed that way! But like I said, He is becoming a big boy!

My best friend Brittany and her husband Aj had there baby! Jameson was born January 31st @ 9:23 am. He weighed 8lbs. 14 oz and was 21.75 inches long! Brittany had a very tuff time getting him here. She was in labor for 18 hours and 7 of that was hard labor but he did not want to come out so he was brought in c-section. Brittany was a trooper threw out the whole things and Aj was very supportive! We are so glad that Jameson is here safe and sound!

This weekend Drew and I got a weekend to our selves! We went to Wendover! It was so much fun. We left Friday night and drove out in that scary fog. But we made it safe and sound. When we got there it was late and we where so tried that we just went to bed! I know it sounds old but we where tired. But, Saturday was nice, we sleep in (for a first time in a long time) then when and gambled! I LOVE the penny slots and roulette. Drew had a lot of fun watching me lose! But then my luck turned around and I won!! We came home on Sunday .15 cents a head. And that was taking out food, entertainment and gas! What a great weekend!! What’s up everyone:

It’s my time to post about me! So, I’m finally ¾ a year old! I’m getting so independent and I'm loving it. I can’t figure out this crawling business and it's making me mad. I keep getting stuck on my one leg and bounce back and forth. I have just figured out that I can use my arms to pull myself up on things. My favorite thing to do is pull myself up on my crib. I gave mom a great scare with that one day, it was pretty funny! I have also figured out that I have a voice. I love to hear myself talk. One of my favorite pass times is sitting on the floor playing with my toys; boy do I have a lot of them. Well, everyone I’m hoping that I finally figure our how to move on my own very soon and talk to everyone soon.

This morning Skyler woke up at 5:30 SCREAMING his head off! He had a fever of 100.5! We got him to go back to sleep for about and hour after we tried for an hour to get him to go back to sleep. But he woke up scream and crying so hard. Drew and I tried everything possible to get him to stop screaming. We called the on call doctor and they made us an appointment for 11am, but I could not wait so I took him in right as they open, Well, it turns out that he has ear infections in both ears! As soon as they gave him he numbing drops he stopped crying with in 3 mins and past out because he was so tired. I got him home and all settled on the coach and I hear him start crying.. Well, Allie and Gator have been so worried about him that they where trying to sleep with him, But Gator got a little to close for comfort and slept on him!! Silly dog! Skyler, still has a really bad fever, it's about 100.0 to 102.0 and his ears are still hurting him. But we got numbing drops, antibiotics, Tylenol, and Motrin. Poor little guy!

This weekend we got invited to go snowmobiling with our friends Darin and Jill! We had a lot of fun!! I got to make my very first snow angel ever! Yes, I know, I have never made one, but note to self for next time.. make sure that snow is soft!!

Skyler has learned how to give kisses. It's funny because he will only kiss me and my mom! We have tried to get him to kiss Drew but, Skyler is not having it. I think it has to do with the facial hair Drew has. But when he does kiss you, he grabs your face and fully gives you an open mouth kiss. - It's nice and wet- and it's even funnier because this week he got his first cold.. and his noses is running non-stop.. but, lets just say that his kisses are extra wet!! Boy, I love my Lil' man!

Yes, he's sick but he is still super happy and wants to play! He has this cough that keeps him up threw out the night, so I got some pointer from people I work with to help.. Tonight we are putting infant Vic's vapor rub on his feet with socks and into his jammies and I'm told that it really clears babies up! So, we are keeping our fingers crossed that it will help him.

Happy New Years Everyone! This year, Drew and I have been very blessed! Drew and I have accomplished so much this year. We both have moved up in our jobs, we have expended in our family with the cutest lil man that anyone could ask for, We both have grown with our relationships with our parents, and we have the greatest friends that anyone could ask for! I'm really excited to start this New Years off because there are so many great things still to come as Skyler gets older!

Christmas

This was Skyler's first Christmas and our first Christmas playing Santa! It was a lot of fun. It was a very busy holiday! On Christmas eve we went and saw Grandma and Grandpa Modahl. They give Skyler the cutest little beanie. He looks like the biggest stud! Then, We went to Great Grandma and Grandpa Tyler's for Christmas eve dinner. Skyler had a lot of fun playing with his cousin Sayge! Christmas Day came and when I was growing up my Grandpa Horsey would always come up and watch me and my sister Nicki open presents! Well, my dad wanted to start the tradition with Skyler! My parents and Aunt Nicki came out in the bad snow storm Christmas morning to watch Skyler open all of his presents! After they we did our Christmas we got ready and went to Grandma and Grandpa Bronson's house to have lunch and watch it snow like crazy mad! Then it was off too Grandma and Grandpa's Crazy's house for dinner (Like I said).. It was a very busy holiday! I know that Skyler had not a clue what was going on but he loved all of his toys that he got from everyone. It was fun watching him open presents because he was not very interested in them. He liked the bows and the hungers that the clothes came on. I know that we loved seeing all of our family. Thank you everyone for all the fun stuff everyone gave Skyler and us!!

Skyler and Santa

So, Skyler met Santa for the first time on Sunday! We got to the mall early in hopes that we would beat the line but I was wrong! We waited for an hour and half! Skyler feel asleep waiting.

I have heard horror stories from other parents that have taken there kids to see Santa and they scream and cry.. so, I was really worried about what he might do because Skyler has stared being really scared of strangers. But, Skyler passed with flying colors! It was so cute, when Drew put Skyler on Santa's lap he looked up at Santa and started patting his belly then this beard and then touched his nose. It was the cutest thing ever seen! It was like he was trying to see if Santa was real.

This weekend we went to my best friends dad's Annual Cocktail party! It's always so much fun to get all dressed up and party with your friends! All of us looked so awesome and had such a great time!!! Thanks Jerry and Merideth for the awesome party!

Before the cocktail party we stopped over at our friends Matt & Jenny's Annual Browning Christmas bash! It was great to see all over our old friends that we don't get to see as much. I went in to wake Skyler up for the day and he must of had been tossing and turning all night because when I put him down for bed it's right after he gets out of the bath and his hair is flat, not spikey like how I normally do it, but last night he had pushed himself all the way to the top of his crib and his hair looked like this!! What a great day! Skyler's first Thanksgiving! We went to Drew's Grandma's house for lunch and to what a great surprise Sarah, Sayge and Travis showed up!! So, we had a full house! Then we went to my mom's house. Skyler tried Grandma Crazy's rolls and sweet potatoes for the first time! Boy did he love them. Then on Saturday we went up to Grandma and Grandpa Modahl's house and had Thanksgiving there!! I just love this time of year! You get to see and spend time with friends and family!

I have SO much to be thankful for this year! I have a wonderful husband that is my best friend. Without is love and support I would not be where I am today. Thank you babe! He has given me the greatest gift that anyone could ever ask for, My son Skyler! I'm thankful that he his healthy, happy little boy growing into a little man. I'm also, thankful that I have a roof over my head and both Drew and I have great jobs to help provide for our family. I'm thankful for all the love and support that both of our families have given us! Our relationships have grown so much with them. They help us out so much with Skyler. With out them we would be lost! Thanks everyone! I'm also thankful for our friends! We have the best laughs, memories and fun times with them and we consider them family! So, At work they have this thing that's a pretty big event called "recognition". It's all the top people in Salt Lake Division that get to attend. Well, I got to attend this quarter. This was my first one, the last one they had that I was invited too, I was having a baby. So, this time when I got invited I was not going to miss it. They have it fully catered with the yummiest of food, prizes, games and a super cool award. Yea for me!

Skyler went to the doctor's today for his 6 month check up! The doctor said that he is a perfect, happy baby! I can't believe how big he has gotten. He now weighs 19 pounds and is 27 inches long! He is still in the 75% percentile on weight, height and head. He had to get 6 shots today.. and it not the happiest lil' man! I think he cried harder this time then the times in the past! It hurts my heart :-( but, Dr. Bean did tell me that he has 2 teeth that are almost ready to come in.. she said give it a couple weeks. Explains why he has been so pleasant to be around!! hee-hee. I just love the Dr. Bean! She is great! I was asking her about burping Skyler and she said that we don't have to anymore- And I explained that Drew is so headstrong about it, and she just laughed and said " If that is what he likes to do that let him." She is so cute! We just love her!

Allie and Gator will not leave Skyler alone today!! He took a nap and they both snuggled up on the coach with him. Either they really love him.. or.. they where really cold- the verdict is undecided at this time..

So, this weekend we where so busy! One party after another- On Friday night we got invited to Aunt Nicki's Annual Halloween Bash! Skyler was the guest of honor! Allie and Gator went as well. They where Crazy!! There costumes fit them just right! Saturday was another busy day- During the day Brittany had her baby shower for her mom's side of the family. Skyler and I went to show are support! Saturday night we where invited to Jerry and Meredith's Halloween party! Drew and I dressed up as hunters and Skyler went as a turtle- It was great to see all the great costumes!! I just love Halloween- but thank goodness for Sunday!!! no, party but we did have a date with couch and watching movies all day!

Mom wanted to go get my pictures taken because I’m 6 months old. So I thought I would share them with you. I have 2 halloween costumes because mom bought me one and Grandma and Grandpa Bronson bought me the other one! I love them both! I look like a stud!
I have gotten so big. I have mastered rolling over and sitting up by myself. And boy, was that hard- But I got it. I have also started to eat baby food. I really love sweet potatoes and HATE green beans. But, mom keeps feeding me them. One day she will figure out that I don’t like them. I’m in the stage in my life where I grab for everything I can and put it in my mouth… I have also found a new friend his name is ELMO. And I get so excited when I get to see him! But, I think my favorite part of the day is when I get shower with dad. He lets me play in the water forever. I like to lick it like my doggies. It tickles my tongue.

So, We went to the dunes this weekend. It was the last trip of the season. Drew is really sad about it. But It's OK.. because it will just make the winter go by faster. I honestly think this was the funnest dunes trip I have ever had. It was so lade back and fun. We got there Thursday afternoon and left Saturday night- For some reason Gator was throwing up really bad at my mom's and I was worried and wanted to come home. . . But no worries he is doing tons better now.. it must have been all that birthday cake.Ü But, this trip had tons of memories.. laughing at the camp fire, almost blowing up camp, and the famous boys riding the dunes naked.. Can't wait til next year!

So, I got this really cute e-mail from my friend Jessica and I had to post it because I thought it was hilarious.

GOTTA LOVE LITTLE BOYS Two young boys walked into a pharmacy one day, picked out a box of tampons and proceeded to the checkout counter. The man at the counter asked the older boy, 'Son, how old are you?' 'Eight', the boy replied. The man continued, 'Do you know what these are used for?' The boy replied, 'Not exactly, but they aren't for me. They're for him. He's my brother. He's four. We saw on TV that if you use these, you would be able to swim and ride a bike. Right now, he can't do either one'.

So, This weekend we got invited to go up to our friend Darin's cabin! We had a blast! I held and SHOT my first gun ever! Drew was so proud! I was actually a pretty good shot! At least I think. I shot 4 eggs and some cans! Yea, ME!! Drew and Darin had a great time finding things just to shoot! Boys will be boys I guess! We went on this really long 4-wheeler ride on some trailers threw the mountains! Seeing all the leaves changing color and the temperature was perfect! We had an awesome time!

Yesterday was our anniversary! We have been married for 3 wonderful years! Drew and I both took the day off, slept in a little bit (Skyler could only sleep for so long).. I woke up to 12 BEAUTIFUL long-stem red roses that Drew went and bought for me. We had a great day! We went to lunch then went up to park city to do some shopping!!! The fall leaves where so pretty! I just love fall! After that we went and dropped Skyler off at my mom's and went to dinner at Carver's!!! It was super yummy! To top off the rest of the day with Drew's softball game-

It was a great day and I love Drew more and more everyday!! I can't wait to have 50-million more anniversaries! Happy Anniversary Babe! xoxo

Well, It's a tradition! Every year for Brittany's birthday we go to the fair. This was Skyler's first year at the fair. He had SO much fun! I could not believe what a people watcher he is! He was so tried that he slept until 11 am the next morning!

4 month check up

So, Skyler went in yesterday for his 4 month check up.. He is getting so big. He weights 16.5 pounds and is 26 inches long. He had to get 5 shots yesterday. His first set of shots he got when he was 2 months old went in really fast.. but he cried and cried. So, I was not looking forward to the shots. The lady that gave him his shots yesterday took her sweet time.. but, I was super suprised that Skyler did not cry until the last shot went in and only cried for like 30 seconds after that. Then he was all smiles because he found the tissue paper they put down on the patients beds at the doctors office. He likes the noice it makes. But, he is in the 75% on everything! And a healthy, happy boy!

OK, I know I have not posted in a very long time but we have been super busy... Skyler is getting so big. He is 4 month old! It's crazy to think that this time last year I just found out that I was going to be a Mommy for the first time. Skyler is trying to sit up on his own. He is so close, he will sit there for like 2 seconds and fall over! He has also tried really hard to roll over. He will grab his feet and grunt until he rolls to his right. He has not figured out left yet. What a big boy. I have also noticed that he has gotten his first freckle. Ya, That is something he gets from his mom!

This past weekend Drew and I got to go out to the dunes and be grown-ups! Not mommy and daddy! It was so nice. My mom watched Skyler, Allie and Gator for us. She had a full house! Bless her heart! It was cute, I would call my mom and check on Skyler everyday we where gone and she would tell me cute stories that her and my dad where doing to Skyler. My dad made him a card board car and drives him around the house in it. Skyler thinks he is a pimp!! When we went to pick him up today, he saw me and just started crying so hard. I don't know if it was a mad cry or a "oh my gosh.. I missed you cry" I'm just going to think that he missed me. Thanks mom and dad! You guys are the best!

So, Drew and I had a date night last night. We went to dinner at the Olive Garden.. ymm.. Then went to the demolition Derby. Yes, I love them.. That's my white-trash side! They are so much fun. It was so nice because Skyler went to Grandma Crazy's house and we got to go out. We got rained on.. really bad as a matter of fact but it was still great time..Sitting in the rain holding each other! Thanks for the fun date babe- xoxo. It was kind of fun Because if you have ever been to a Derby before there are 4 rounds and the winners of each round goes to the final round. Well, on the final round drew and I make bets on who's car will stay in the longest.. The terms where that if my car won he would have to do ALL the laundry today.. and if his car won he got $5 bucks.. let just say that I'm stuck doing all the laundry today... :-(
